Thank you Claire for yet another stunning kitten (or should i say Teddy Bear:) As you know this is our 3rd breeding queen from you and once again our expectations were surpassed by miles!!! Everything about her is just fantastic. She does the funniest thing, if you stroke her while she's walking she starts to pad and purr, it's just so funny watching her padding along the floor. She's not too keen on toy mice and little foam balls but show her a feather tickler and it's like someones thrown a switch, talk about Jekyl and Hyde LOL. You wouldn't believe a little fluff ball like her could move so fast. Anyway thanks again for trusting us with her, i'll get some photos for you just as soon as she sits still long enough :) and you'll definately be seeing her on the show bench next year. Best wishes Mick

Sasha's Owner - Keri said :
As Sasha is coming up to a year old next month I thought I would give you all a little update on her progress... She had a mini photo shoot and weigh in this morning just for you. Her weight is currently 13lbs and there is not an ounce of fat on her! She is very long and her tail is massive even though she wont be developing a full winter coat until next year. You can tell by the length of her whiskers that she has a lot of growing left to do. I wish you could see her in person so that you can see what a lovely example of a Maine Coon she is. She has outgrown her cat scratcher so will be getting a new one for her birthday. I am trying to persuade Grahame to let me have one of those that goes all the way up to the ceiling! Her new nickname is "Beastie" Short for "The Broad Lane Beast" as she is so huge. Her attitude is growing with her and she definately rules above everyone except Millie. She seriously believes that she is a panther or something and if you try to tell her something she doesn't like she tries to eat you. You can see the determination on her face to proove that she is bigger than you even if she doesn't look it! I only met Jamaica a couple of times but she is so much like her. She even does the thing where she nudges your hand when you stroke her head so hard that it flattens her ears. My mum came round to visit the other day and the first thing Sasha did was climb onto the sofa behind her and wrap her paws around her head to wrestle it. No Claws, just playing, very funny! She's such a character! She does this to lots of people, esspecially those she doesn't see very often. People who aren't used to cats jump out of their skins. This is probably a simple yet effective amusement generator for her. Always the most playful soul in the house, she has a new obsession with attempting to climb the wallpaper on the landing which has resulted in mass shredding. She now manages to scrabble up to about 6ft before dropping to the floor. We will be redecorating it soon though and sticking to paint as it's safer! She still sleeps on my head every night. I love her too much to push her away even though she is so heavy that she suffocates me now and I am far too hot. She has fortunately stopped the babyish paddling of her paws though which means I can at least try to sleep next to my soppy furry rattle box of a cat, without getting clawed in the face/neck/arm! Her favorite food is roast chicken. She also really likes chocolate which she steals every now and again if we leave it lying around. She likes to chase peanuts around the floor as well, she doesn't eat them, just chases them. Silly billy. I've been feeding her a 50:50 mix of Royal Canin Kitten food and Whatever Meat the old girls are having twice a day. She also has a big handful of Outdoor Royal Canin for supper which is very high in protein for extra growth. I'm starting to introduce the Maine Coon version now in very small amounts as she tends to have a delicate stomach so by the time she's 15 months she should be well used to it! She doesn't like her trousers being brushed. She hates it and swears at me. I tried to tell her the other day that she should pay more attention to cleaning them herself but she told me if I didn't keep my nose out I would lose fingers over it. She thinks knotty pants are bang on trend. I have learnt a cunning trick though. Even though Sasha is bigger than me (in her own mind) she is definately not as clever (don't tell her I said that though). I can now distract her with her favorite toy in one hand while attacking her trousers with the other! Genius.

Thank you so much for letting us have the girls. Saffi and Willow are both settling in nicely and we are sure they are going to give us some stunning kittens. The vet was besotted with them when i took them to get microchipped. Also it was nice to see how well your other cats are loved and cared for, it give us confidence that we made the right decision coming to you for our breeding queens. We can't wait to collect Mist in November. Oh and i would dearly love to get my photo taken with Flash next time i see you as people don't believe me when i tell them just how big he is! Thanks again for everything, your help and advice was much appreciated.

Dear Claire just to say that the 'babies', Bill and Harry are settling in really well. Bill the bigger boy is so laid back and relaxed, while Harry the younger coonlet is a livewire. He gads about the room , his little feet hardly touch the ground : ) He's so funny and they are BOTH adorable. They are both feeding well and know exactly what the litter tray is for....so clever : ) We are so happy with these little fur-babies and thankyou so much for breeding such beautiful kittens. Many, many thanks to you Tina and Rick, Oxfordshire

Colonel Red's Slaves said :
Colonel Red is settling in really really well. He is absolutely beautiful and is growing by the minute! Everyone has fallen in love with him and he has taken to talking and chattering to our two year old son Ben who chatters back.....I'm sure they are planning something! They seem to be thick as thieves already. Red follows Ben round all day and sleeps next to him when he is playiing. He's even tried to help himself to Ben's dinner a few times. Just as you predicted he is a real adventurer, into every nuck and cranny in the house before pouncing on us for a cuddle and a sleep. He is an absolute gem.

Wendy - Boo's New Mom said :
Dear Claire, You will be pleased to hear that Boo-Boo is fine and really at home with us. She is very affectionate towards Wendy and spends every evening on her lap, and at bed time she initially sleeps at the bottom of the bed before moving up to be adjacent to Wendy in the morning. She knows exactly when it is bed time as she always jumps off Wendy's knee and goes under a chair, and will only come out to receive a piece of ham. Every evening she looks out for the Fox which comes into our garden. One evening, the Fox walked up to the conservatory window and turned to see Boo-Boo. Their noses were just each side of the glass and it was the Fox that backed away in fright. After initially going outside on a lead, she soon discovered how to free herself. It was then a matter of making the rear garden "cat proof" and letting her out on her own. She was very good and would come running in when called to receive her treat. All was fine until one Saturday morning when she was no where to be found. She had escaped. A search was made of the neighbours gardens and still no Boo-Boo. We thought that we had lost her. Then, some three hours later she appeared on our neighbours lawn. Wendy picked her up to bring her home and she struggled to free herself all the way back. She now goes out two or three times a day, when we are in, and always has a treat when she returns. She likes to visit our neighbour to see their young male cat "Sooty" and always greets him with a kiss. It has taken some time to get this friendly as she can be quite aggressive towards other cats. Often we are wanting to go out and try to get Boo back in the house, but to no avail. Then we discover that she is in someone else's house, either having a look around or playing with "Sooty's" toys. The other day, our next but one neighbours went out in their car and shortly afterwards the alarm went off. Fortunately another neighbour had a key to the premises and was able to re-set the alarm. On opening the front door, who should calmly walk out but Boo-Boo. The novelty of straying far has now worn off and Boo only visits a couple of neighbours on either side of us that we are friendly with. Most of the time when she is around, but not to be seen, she will come running into the house for a treat, when she hears her name called. She has a bell on her snap free collar, as recommended by the Vet, so that we can hear her running around, and so can the birds. When we have our meals in the garden she always comes and sits on the table. In many ways she acts more like a dog, always following you around. Now she is lying by the door to our computer room. She has turned out to be a truly wonderful, loving cat. You must be very pleased All very best wishes. Wendy and Dennis

Claire, Brian & Farah, We cannot thank you enough for Palmaine Lady Emma Hamilton ~ She is so so pretty and after just 2 days is very sociable and settling quickly into her new home here in Wales. A credit to your breeding program ~ we look forward to getting our second Maine Coon in just over 2 months. We were so impressed on our first visit with the welfare and care of your cats we looked no further. We would highly recommend you to anyone thinking of having their first Maine Coon cat. We look forward to seeing you again and keeping you updated with Emma's development.
